For anyone who doesn’t know me yet, I’m Paul, owner of Surfside Garage Doors and a career firefighter in the City of Newark. Alongside running Surfside here in Toms River, I also serve as the Vice President of the United Civil Servants Association, a 501(c)(3) made up of Newark firefighters dedicated to supporting our members and the families in our city who need help the most.
Each year we host two major fundraisers, and one of our biggest events is coming up next Friday. Our Annual Comedy Night has grown into a packed evening of great food, open bar, and a lineup of comics who know how to bring the house down. It’s a fun night out and a simple way to back a group that puts in the work all year long.
Proceeds from this event support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation along with the coat drives we run throughout Newark. Those drives place warm coats directly into the hands of children who would otherwise go without as temperatures drop. The support from this event keeps those efforts going strong.
